Are people less daring these days?

This might make me sound like an old fart (even though I'm only 33) but it seems to me that they are less daring people these days.

The reason I say this is that seems to becoming harder to find people to chat to about this stuff

So what are your views on this?

Yes your right at least I am finding that . Young people seem to embarrass easily and are very prudish . When it comes to nudity of any form they have all become prudes even to the point of seeing others and not themselves , they seem to get offended really easily . I am afraid society has alot to answer for as we have wrapped our young people in cotton wool and taught them that they have their rights and everyone sueing each other for the stupidist of things . Also the pedophilia epedemic sweeping across countries is teaching our kids that anything sexual is wrong . People are so scared of being branded a sexual predator etc that people have lost the adventurous streak kids used to have . Its very sad but society has alot to answer for . When I was a kid you never heard of kids suffering eating disorders etc no one really cared but now every kid is worried about their size etc all wanting to fit in . Social media doesnt help this either . Not only that with everyone having phone cameras now people are worried about pictures being posted online as well . It is very very sad that between modernisation and society have killed a way of life kids now will never get to experience .

I think it's a mix of yes and no. More people are doing things while others are doing less. Hard to really say.

I don't know about other people, but these days I am much more aware of things like cameraphones, CCTV and the internet. I used to think that whatever dare I did only existed for the moment but now I do worry that pictures or videos might exist without my control and that does make me a bit more cautious.

Like Bob said. I can't do dares in certain areas anymore because I know cameras are everywhere. People get a lot more prudish when Big Brother is watching.

Cameras are everywhere, people are sensitive, and I'm not trying to land on the sex offender list for life just because I decided to streak around the block.

The camera thing is an issue for more than just dares. It's crazy because it's leading to having very sanitized people

I think it depends how you define daring. I'm not going to nonconsensually involve others in my kink, so if that's what it takes to be daring, I'm not and none of my friends are

That being said, I've seen some fucked up shit at local kink events. Stuff that is very very daring. I think it just depends where you're at

I am an old fart. Probably about the oldest here. I find kids today are much more daring. I see them putting all sorts of stupid antics online in any forum they can find. We are very cautious in some areas like public nudity. Nobody is streaking these days because cameras are everywhere and you are labelled a sexual predator for the silliest reasons.

I see very young kids sending inappropirate nudes to just about anybody. The smart phone makes this altogether too easy. I have to be very careful who I chat with on Kik because so many kids will send pictures that will get me put in prison just because someone thinks they might be on my phone. (I have a friend in prison, hounded by bankrupting him paying lawyers until he pled without any actual evidence ever being presented.) Just the accusation of illegal sexual conduct is enough to ruin you, so yes, we are more afraid and cautious in some areas, but then at the same time so damned willing to expose ourselves to anyone just because it is so damned easy.

Yes I think so,but I think Covid has a lot to do with it.
Not just this but other things too .
To me things seem to be coming back little by little.

I thought it was maybe all the cameras about nowadays that caused it but I find that the younger ones take less risks in all aspects of life now.

Even athiests are puritans nowadays. Body hating slaves to the money. That and kink is imagination! Creativity. When sex becomes consumption based (there is more porn than ever) then it is in the corporate interest to lessen real activities and increase virtual. So two big reasons for less daring kink. Children are also controlled and over scheduled and over monitored while constantly threatened (especially at school). Leading to fear based, puritanical lives.

Personally I feel less daring than at the period when I joined this site (couple months ago), a lot of things that I did easily back then seem nearly undoable in my mind right now. Maybe just a season thing.

Being a "younger" person I will say the biggest thing that concerns me with a lot of daring activity is police intervention I have had my public nudity/sex get me ontrouble with police and even incredibly recently I had a neighbor call the cops on me because they saw me naked in my home out of a window. I personally love being outdoors naked but in most places it's really not possible
