Janice got home from school mentally exhausted, she had been pushing herself a lot lately. Her average had gone down from 92 to 83 percent and she new that if she wanted to get into the college she wanted, that would have to go up. It had been her eighteenth birthday a couple of weeks before and, with the preparations and all the excitement, she had fallen behind. Now she was having to make up for it.
