Getdare account 'sharing'

There have been a couple of threads recently with users offering their account info to others. I understand that puts the account being shared in jeopardy because somebody else might break the rules on their behalf. I won't do this, but before I do log in as another user at their 'request', I want to make sure this isn't against the rules.

I know one of my close friends said she got a warning once for doing that to her subs account.

Thank you for the response! Hoping for an admin comment though for obvious reasons. Your comment is enough to stop me until I hear otherwise though. It would be fun for the other person, but I don't want to break the rules.

It is discouraged for people to be sharing account information. Main reason for this is due to you possibly doing something to cause them to lose the account and then it's a big mess to figure out. If you wish to "control" someone's account then use teamviewer or something like that so they can easily kick you off if you try to change a password. There have been many claims in the past of "they changed my password and now I need another account." Of course they tend to find the old password an hour later...

Anyway, it is my suggestion to not participate in sharing of account information.

Is it against the rules, or is it simply discouraged?

As far as I can see it is just discouraged but I'd imagine as redhead has pointed out, that it would be a mess to sort out if something went wrong.
