I think you should create a section for teens only under 18 with new rules. only people under 18 could post and you could allow s/m. just an idea

what im saying is like you know how it wont let you see the adult stories if your under 18. cant you set the same restriction but opposite so that only people who have the age of their account under 18 can view it

I don't really see the point of people seeing under 18 stories?

The only reason I can think of is that it would be fairer to under 18s....

And a large majority of the 'better' stories are written by older members, even if they are aimed at a younger audience.

sorry if i worded that wrong. i mean an under 18 teen s/m section woould be like the over 18 stories. by that i mean you know how you cant get into the over 18 stories if you account info you put in says you are under 18. well if you were over 18 the mods could make it so that you could not even look at the ads in the under 18 s/m section

But I still don't see the point. Everything an under 18 can see/ read would be legal for over 18s. Yes, they are probably more childish, but they're most likely still appropriate for some adults.

As I said before, the only reason I see right now, is to make things fair.

This is for legal reasons. If you are unde 18 then you are considered a minor(at least where i live).

As Coyote mentioned above, it is for legal reasons, and the law says that minors cannot engage in S/M for a reason, and one of those is that generally speaking, a minor can make wrong decisions, which might lead later on down the road, to some really deep shit.

This can also lead to distribution of child pornography, which is naturally illegal, even though on both side of the photo, would be a minor. Of course, you can argue that using a digital camera/ webcam for S/M activity, but what stops the 'curious' mind or the 'drunk' mind.(Yes, technically you're not supposed to be drinking, but how many of you are under 18 and have been drunk.

)

Also, I've noticed that while minors cannot access the 'mature' stories section, by going through to the author's posts, you would be able to see at least 2-3 sentences of the beginning of the post. Say you posted in the Under 18 S/M, members over 18 would still be able to see that you have requested, and they might go to PM. While you can argue that you won't reply to PMs, the desperate ones will accept, and hence this will lead to using MSN, Yahoo, AIM etc.

I don't think it should allow M/s but maybe it could be a place where those under 18 can talk about M/s and learn stuff about it.
So when they are over 18 they would have more information and may be more comfortable talking to those their own age.
I don't know, it may not work. But it doesn't just have to be M/s it could have other stuff there as well.

Argh! I'm supposed to be on the other side of this but here goes...

For the S/M section(s?), by only talking about it with people closer to your age, I can see that this might help a lot of people, but it will also create misconceptions about the subject. As for having 'more information', this information could be accessed in the regular S/M lounge already.

An extra section would also increase a mod's work...

However, as I was typing this, I thought about another thing. I know that at least a few 'guests' have signed up so that they could access the mature stories area, so would this help build the site's population (not that it needs any boosting)?

Yes, it could attract more teenagers maybe.
I doubt this will ever happen though. Due to the few under 18's who fail to follow rules, spell correctly or to not be idiots.

i also think that no person under 18 should be able to look at the section, not even depp. unless there was a serious problem. they could appoint mods just for this and nothing else.
