Default 3-Play Dice Game

Here's a dice game for 1 or more players

TO BEGIN:
You will need 2 6-sided dice (or a dice roller)
Decide how many rounds you wish to play (5 is recommended)
For each round, select a task which can be performed with 5 varying degrees of difficulty or impact (1 is the easiest, 6 is the hardest, 3 is not defined)
Determine the player order and how many players may be required to perform each task

GAME PLAY:
Each Round:
Player 1 starts the first round, and players rotate through until the round ends
The next player starts the next round, and so on…

Players take turns - each player rolls the dice one time.
The first player rolls the dice one time...

IF YOU ROLL...
  • DOUBLES (EXCEPT 3s)
  • THE ROLL TOTAL IS 3, 7, or 11
  • THERE IS A SINGLE 3 WITH ANOTHER NUMBER
  • ...ROLL AGAIN

IF YOU ROLL...
  • DOUBLE 3s
  • ...YOU MUST PERFORM THE TASK FOR THIS ROUND - GO TO THE DIFFICULTY ROLL... you are no longer active for the round

IF YOU ROLL...
  • ANY OTHER COMBINATION OF 1/2/4/5/6
YOU GAIN ONE EXEMPTION... once you have 3 exemptions, you are fully exempt from having to perform this task, and no longer active for the round

If there are still active players, the next one rolls the dice one time...

The round ends when no players are active for the round, either because they have performed the task or because they are exempt.

Exemptions do not carry from one round to the next.

DIFFICULTY ROLL:
Once a player has lost the round, he rolls the dice one time to determine the difficulty of the task.

IF YOU ROLL...
  • NOT DOUBLES/NO 3s - the difficulty is the lower of the two numbers shown
  • NOT DOUBLES/THERE IS A 3 - the difficulty is other number showing
  • DOUBLES/EXCEPT 3s - roll again…
    • NOT DOUBLES/NO 3s - the difficulty is the higher of the numbers
    • 3 WITH a 1 OR 2 - the difficulty is the sum of the dice
    • 3 WITH A 4/5/6 - the difficulty is the higher number
    • SAME DOUBLES ROLL - YOU ARE EXEMPT!
    • ANY OTHER DOUBLES/EXCEPT 3s - the difficulty is the number on one of the dice PLUS you get ONE exemption to start the next round
  • DOUBLE 3s ON 1st OR REROLL - the difficulty is 6 and in the next round you must take 3 extra rolls before the round begins. If you lose during the extra rolls, the difficulty will automatically be 6. If it is the last round, go back to the beginning of the game and take 1 roll for each round you were exempt from; if you lose, roll only one of the dice to determine your difficulty (if the roll is 1, 2 or 3, double it)

Good luck!
