It will be a true test of the ego. If your mind doesn't like it, it can cause all sorts of emotional problems throughout the experience of having it. You may like it right now, but once confronted with society at shopping malls and school, and in the streets, your ego may become self conscious of it and rip you to shreds emotionally. But if your into playing with your own head, then you should definitely go for it. It will be a GOOD experience for you to go through, and if you learn to conquer your mind and you don't allow it to run rampant, you will have learned an invaluable life lesson, and will be that much closer to true enlightenment. If you go through your life never realizing that you are not your mind, and that you can turn it off, your life will be full of stress and heartache. This will be a great experiment for you.

I vote no, because if you decide you don't like it, it's a long time you have to live with it until you can grow it out. Maybe go for a less drastic style change at first, then make a second change later, and so on.

I'm not very self conscious, I really don't care if people look at me weirdly, I did a lot of weird public dares, it doesn't affect me. Should be fun to look crazy.
And it wont be too long I have to wait if I dislike it, my hair grows pretty quickly.

If you're considering doing this, consider perhaps doing this hairstyle for the world's greatest shave? (If you have it in your country)

For those that don't know, the world's greatest shave encourages people to raise money for cancer research, shaving, coloring their hair or taking on crazy hairstyles once they reach a target as an incentive to donate.

Then you kill 3 birds with one stone.
1. You don't have to worry whether to shave your hair like this, as it will be left to chance if people donate enough or not.
2. You MIGHT get a new hairstyle.
3. You will be raising money for a VERY VERY good cause.

Yeah if i'm breaking the rules for this post I don't care, this is something very very close to my heart.
