slave/master search area restrictions

When I look at the ban list one reason for banning that always sticks out is don't make multiple accounts for ads. What if there were restrictions on that part of the site? No baby members allowed or a certain waiting period would probably save the admins here some work. Implementing a restriction to make it so that people actually can't post more than one ad every 30 days may also help cut down the junk in that forum.

Just an idea I had.

There is a restriction that makes it so you can't make an ad within the 30 days, those accounts that you are seeing banned are where people have made new accounts in order to get around this time limit.

I think what he means is to let new members wait 30days too so it's useless to make a new account for that sole reason.

I like the idea, but I personally posted an ad in my first few days here, and it was a good ad! I don't know if it is fair to people who want to post legitimate ads to make them wait?

I've always thought a required word minimum of like 100 would reduce bad ads and spamming accounts. It's not alot, but alot longer than alot of ads there are on here.

Maybe a minimum of 7 days registered and 30 forum posts might be good

I think that would provoke spam, also in some sub-forums posts are not counted.

I have to agree some sort of restriction would be good, though not 30 days baby as already said thats not really fair on others. I do like the idea of posting other posts.first as that way the people applying get a chance to see what you are like and it proves you are active almost. However I do agree with the other suggestion for having a minimum amountof words however I don't know how difficult that would be to make happen. Though I think having a word counter would be good for when you are typing posts and starting threads.
