Why do you misspell the word "dare"?
... it can't be accidental, seeing as the word is in the site's URL, on the site header, and 90% of the threads on the site have the word in them...

As for the dare... daring the person above can't work if each person creates their own dare (with the dice roll).

I want to correct that.

The daily recommended amount of water to drink is 2000 ml for women, 2700 ml for men. Add 500-1000 ml for 30 mins of sweating while doing some sport/ (maybe 200-500 per hour working). If weather is hot, you can add two more litres. (if weather is really cold, also add 1 or 2 litres !!)
One cup contains typically 200 ml (well a bit more but you probably won't fill it till rim), so 20 cups sum up to 4000 ml. This is below the daily needed amount for a male who e.g. went to work that day (2700+8*200=4300). Quite harmless, if you have not drunk much that day already. But you won't sleep well with 4 litres flowing through your body.

One important thing: don't drink to fast. If someone is dared to drink the 10 or more cups, strech the drinking process to 1 hour. Eat half a tea spoon of salt to be sure your electrolyte balance is right. Roughly half the water will be consumed by the body, the other half flows into the bladder which cannot contain that much. When filled with 300-500 ml (women) or 600-800 ml (men) you will have a compulsory urination. The indiviual value varies a lot, I gave you only rough numbers. So 20 is okay for male, but 15 cups will cause already the desired effect. You definitely shouldn't dare a woman to drink 20 cups.

5 -> 1250 ml / 2= 625 ml. Above, but near the thresholds for women. (that's why I choose 5 for mupsey ;-). Should be safe for male.
1,3 -> nothing will happen.

Remember I've assumed a cup is filled with 200 ml (not till rim, so you can still drink easily).

Drinking 20 cups of water in a short time can be dangerous. You can die from electrolyte depletion. This is 1 and 1/4 gallons of water.

Yes, 20 cups is a bit insane.
But not really dangerous. Around 2.6 gallons are deadly. Definetly not 1.25 gallons (for a healthy adult). And drinking slowly (streched over 1 hour at least) further reduce risk as I've alread said. You can also drink some cups of fruit juice, which contains a lot of electrolytes, instead of water.

But anyway, my previous post should have shown 20 cups are unneccessary since 15 cups produce the same effect.
