This year I want to focus on learning to be a human statue. My end goal before 2023, is be a statue all night. Set me tasks and training to complete this goal.

So, I have a task for you.


It's year 2109, The era of virtual reality space-related metaverse. Only old people remember the old times when everyone was using the classical, archaic internet. During a random 3-days festival organizers decided to pay tribute for history of technology, and create a sculpture of a random user of a random website. Artifical Intelligence randomly choose a website - GetDare, and a user - Munch41. There is also an artistic happening named "History is alive". Some art school students will be responsible for sculpture to look exactly like Munch41, but also to upload his mind and awareness into this fully inanimate object (which is not a big deal for 2109's technology).

Sculpture is on its place and the festival begins.

First day was rainy. People were walking around with cybrellas (a kind of wristband which is desintegrating drops before they touch the wristband owner). Nothing much happend this day.

Choose your pose. You will have to use this one for whole task duration. Stay in that pose under the shower for 15 minutes with your shirt/t-shirt on. Depends on your shower, try to make sure that drops are falling directly on the top of your head

First festival day ended at the evening. It become dark and stopped raining. People went back to their homes willing to come back tomorrow, hoping for a better weather.

You are allowed to move to turn off the lights and shower. Do it fast and go back to your inanimate pose in wet shirt/tshirt and complete dark for the next 10 minutes.

The second day of the festival has begun. Sun was uninterrupted by any cloud, people were having fun making photos with Munch41 sculpture and sometimes dressing it with random stuff they found, like lost hat or backpack.

You are allowed to move, you can take of your wet shirt and, if necessery, dry yourself for 5 minutes. You should also move yourself from bathroom to any place where you can use youtube. Dress up with a few random cloths (like, one shoe, cap, gloves, underwear and backpack - you can improvise). Type "Festival Crowd Sounds" on youtube and choose or randomly pick one ambient for next 15-20 minutes. Randomly clothed, with ambient playing go back to your position for next 15 minutes

During night nothing happend, just cleaning stuff moved all the clothes from sculpture to lost-and-found office.

Take off all your clothes and turn off the lights. Stay naked in dark for 10 minutes, keep your position.

Last day was very quiet. People were preparing for the night concert, ending the festival...

Stay naked in your position for 15 minutes

...and then the night came and the concert begun. People were dancing, spilling beer and making noise. A group of art school students get drunk and knowing about living mind inside sculpture decided to make some fun, pinching it and writing rude words. Night was going and when concert was going to an end, a drunk person went to pee under the sculpture. The festival was ended.

Better go under the shower again, even if you are not going to use it. Write something on your body (for example "Judy was here", "2110 will be better", "I <3 Tom", "F*ck off" etc.). Put a clothespin on ONE of your nipples, and second clothespin on your finger. If possible (home/familly/flatmates situation) play some concert festival ambient from your phone. Get under the shower and pee on your own leg. Stay in your position naked for 10 minutes.

After the festival the sculpture was covered in fabric and left in magazine for months.

Rule for next week: everyday, before going to bed, get naked, turn off the light, throw some kind of fabric on yourself (bedsheet would be great) and stay naked in your position for 15 minutes.


Summarizing, this task will last at least 75 minutes (3x15 and 3x10) and 15 minutes every day for the next week. You have to do the whole festival at once, which means you cant take a break between festival days. Try to make this 75 minutes during night to make sure that dark will be really dark.

Looking for more statue tasks to try

Try this for statue practice. I do not know how long you can currently stand still, so I guessed at the times. If the times are too short then lengthen them to be challenging.

You will stand in or at every corner in your house/apartment. Start at 30 minutes, hands on your head, and facing the corner. The first corner is 30 minutes minimum. Then you may take a 10 minute break.

Move on to the next corner and stand with arms down but still facing the corner for at least 40 minutes. Take a 10 minute break then add 10 more minutes for the next corner. Continue on the last corner where you may face the room as a reward.
