Whats the risk?
I was wondering what is the risk of posting a story on here? Specifically if I wanted to get it published later or write somewhere else. I guess the only risk is someone could steal it and claim it as their own. But is that it?
All advice welcome

If you publish some writing online and then take it to a publisher, it'll more than likely be rejected because it's technically already been published. Of course, that won't happen if you post something and then significantly re-draft/re-work it.
The same can be true for online publishers (e-zines, blogs, and the like), but it depends on the different sites. Different 'rules' for different publishers/people. |
