Windows 10 offers a system-wide night mode. You can choose the colour ranging from almost white to quite red. Red light is good because it allows your eyes to quickly adjust to recognize things in darker areas in your room. Astronomers prefer red light when they look up sth. for the same reason because the eyes need just a short period to re-adjust to dim objects in the night sky. Blue light, on the other hand, makes you stay awake. A typical monitor is emitting relatively high amounts of blue light and the night mode is correcting it.
