Looking for a Jew

Hi, I'm a 19yr old, Female, college sophomore. I'm Jewish, and I was just wondering if anyone else was. I'm pretty sure that the lounge is the place to post this, though not sure. I'm really sorry if I'm in the wrong place. Thanks for viewing, you can publicly post if you're Jewish, or send me a PM, I'm just curious, and wanted to know if I was the only Jew. Thanks!

I'm not jewesh, but just curious about (never met anyone around) I think there is not any difference. If u wanna just make friends there's no limit about it. Please respond.

I was just curious. Of course there isn't a difference between people, there are nice people,mean people, strange people, curious people, many ways people label other people. Being Jewish and identifying as such is just one characteristic of a person, and in the same way people here look for other slaver or masters, I am just looking to see if anyone shares this particular characteristic with me. I'm sorry if I was misunderstood

I don't think I told anyone since it never came up, but I am Jewish as well.
Don't think it makes any diffrence, espaicly since I'm not that religious.

This is my problem....Jews seem to be a special case where everyone has to be ultra sensitive. They are a people just like the christians, the muslims, the atheists. You can't mention jews without being warned about being anti-semetic.

Sorry about that rant. Something I've always wanted to get off my chest.

I know of a couple of jews, but not on these forums.

actually, just to be accurate, Jews are not like the Christians and Muslims. Jews are actually like the Italians or the Greeks. Being Jewish is an identity in the form of nationality as Judaism is a culture not just a religion. Though it is true that in the world today you do have to step lightly, it is because of past instances against the Jews as a people not just Jews in the religious sense.

True. For example, I, myself, a jew. But, I'm also an atheist.
More then 100 years ago the Judaism stopped with being only a religen, and became a nation as well. A nation like the arabs or the Indians. People can choose to become jews in their religen, but if you were born as a jew (because your parents were jews) then you will always be a jew. In world war II, people who were in their religen a complete Christians, and were raised as Christians, but had 1 jewish grandfather, who recognized by the Nazis as jews and were sent to their death.

Judaism actually became a nationality over 2000 years ago, just to clarify. Judaism as a religion alone is a fairly new concept started in Germany with the creation of the Reform movement as an attempt to move away from the belief that the Jews of the Diaspora needed to return to the holy land.
