I am a man, so this does not exactly apply. On a dare some time ago I was to shave my genitals. I kept them shaved for nearly a month. At first it was very slow, time consuming, and generated a few ingrown hairs. But after less than a week it was much easier, quicker, and the ingrown hairs healed smoothed away. Note that this included a bumpy scrotum.
A big help was seeing a video clip of someone in medical (maybe a doctor) demonstrating his technique. Lather was used. I wish now that I could include a link to this video for you all to see. The normal cutting stroke was done. Then instead of raising the blade and moving backwards for the next pass, the blade was moved backwards on the skin. Thus dislodged cut hair from the blade(or between the blades). If I has to give this a name, I'd call is scrubing. Soon I was spending less time doing anus to the belt curve in less time that doing my face and it remained smooth. I no longer shave there. I have noone to regularly view or feel the results. I am not sure how my female doctor would react come time for my annual physical. She might laugh, at least to herself. I will somtimes shave, but generally I just trim don't. First it's a lot of upkeep and a pain to shave it all the time. Second where I work, I live in a camp and it's not an easy place to shave. So if I even trim it's only done on my days off when I'm home
