Wearing speedo is about confort and not about whether you feel embarassed. Me personally, I can't understand people wearing baggy shorts for beach/swimming, to each his own of course though.

I feel a bit embarassed when I happen to have a hard-on or semi-hard-on and it can be visible. It happens from time to time, e.g. on a bike (I wear bike shorts commando of course), being just in speedo, going commando (it happened to me that I was commando and decided to go shopping for underwear, it was really not a good idea).

Do I ever feel embarrassed about my bulge? YES. Every time I have a bulge, regardless of why I have one, I do everything I can to hide it or make it as inconspicuous as possible. Recently I've started wearing skinny jeans a lot, which seems a little counter-intuitive at first, but they fit tight enough that even if I start getting a little hard, the fabrics so tight you can't tell. There's a time and place to show off your bulge. Like while modeling underwear. Or while pole dancing (which is hella fun). Or in the bedroom. While walking down the street, or through the halls at school? Nope.
