I thought that the title was humourously appropriate for this website, and it would attract a lot of interest. It wasn't meant to be an attack on poor spellers. It was not even meant to be confrontational, it just seems to be heading that way.

It's just the general way the thread seems to be going which looked a little problematic.

This might have been interesting/useful/educational if instead of just noting that "nude != naked" you had also explained/illustrated what the (subtle?) difference is.

I'm not a grammar Nazi, English is my third language and I like to learn more/better. This thread hasn't thought me anything so it has in fact been nothing more then a useless rant.

Why is "10 items or LESS" wrong? Does it need to be "fewer" what?
Please tell/teach/inform those with less/lesser/worse/... grammar knowledge what it is supposed to be.

Do you now see how, instead of just ranting, you could turn this into something useful?

People learn wherever they can, whenever they get a chance along with what they're already doing. There are many users here who's first language is not English (in b0ris' case, his third!) and yet they try very hard, even ask for assistance in learning the proper words to use as per your complaints, yet all you do is give scornful answers.

b0ris: The differences really don't matter. The words are all accepted for those uses in commonly spoken English. English has evolved and moved on. The fuddy duddies who want everything perfectly adhering to their rulebooks have not.
