She'd better get used to only using one arm, it looks like this is going to go on for a while. There's already another 3½ weeks to go

I have just found out via a PM the Louise has been using the fingers of her right hand, which stick out from the sling, to hold things. That sounds a bit like cheating to me!

As she clearly can't be trusted to follow the rules I think the fingers should be taped with physio tape or similar to keep the fingers and thumb immobile and held close together. By the looks of the photo here:

If the hand was in a fist it would be completely covered by the sling and therefore the tape would be hidden.

Wow this is going further than I thought! I've only had the sling on for a week and already got another 4 weeks to go!! Hopefully this still fits in with the rotator cuff cover story otherwise I might have a problem explaining it to friends and family

We'll you can probably tell your workmates it has only just happened when you start on the 6th, meaning that you would have plenty of time with them. With your friends and family you may need to invent 'complications'.

Can I suggest that we / your husband may be convinced to retire this thread if it was replaced by a new thread with a new form of long term 'wearable bondage'.

Plus side is that if everyone who's viewed this thread had commented then I'd be wearing the sling for nearly 3 years! I've been quite lucky really in that respect 😂

OK so the last 24hrs has been interesting!
Last night I was sent a link via pm to where you can buy supplies to make fake casts... Like the ones you get for broken bones. I/we never even knew that fake casts was a thing but turns out it is!

So long story short but after loads of pm's and research, my husband has agreed to end this current thread once it gets up to the 31st July (it could end up being the 24th of July depending on holiday bookings but will aim for the 31st)

But...

In return for it being ended, I've agreed to wear a fake cast for a week long holiday. We'll go away somewhere where its highly unlikely that anyone we now will see me. The cast will be decided by a new get dare thread / poll.

As I broke my foot earlier this year, I've already had a cast from my toes to below my knee so something different would probably be best, but it has to be believable!

Our guesses so far are one/both arms or one/both legs but thought we'd post here now and see if anyone else has any ideas or suggestions
