It has become a big thing online, and i thought it would be nice to have a thread where you could discuss what you have made, post pictures, and other stuff like that.

I was also thinking of starting a getdare server, but my computer is too slow to run one, so i was thinking someone else could start one.

Heeee ^^ I defo wanna run a server, something nice and down to earth; a world like oblivion, or dragon age or something, based in that sorta era, with things in keeping with that atmosphere. But i got a laptop >< don't have the hardware or the monies to get it atm.

I have spent time on the SynapseSMP server but i mostly keep to the single player projects to be honest.. I'm currently working on a full scale house that i've written about and known in my head for years, building a minecraft representation of it :P it's a lot of work as the thing is a couple of hundred blocks by a couple of hundred blocks and about 4, 5 storeys high O.o :P haha.

I watched people play it before. I never got to see the actual point of it so I thought it was kind of boring. Though he could have been playing it completely wrong

I think the point is that there is no point. Its a sandbox game. You do whatever you want.

Then I guess it has to be one of those things that you have to play and not something you can really watch.

I may be alone here but I like to add mods to the game. Not the ones that cheat, but those that just add different twists to the game.

I would agree with you. I like Mods, but my computer can barely run it as is.

That being said, i have just enough computing power to run a small hamachi server with around 4 people. PM me if your interested, or can set up a more permanent server.

I think it's something you can get hyped up about over a short time, like a "iiiiiiiiiiih I'm gonna build something *squeee*" kind of thing. So far, I have several nether portals that connect me to 4 different houses, 3 in the real world, 1 in the Nether. 2, one in the normal world the other in the nether, are underground. The others are large, only part underground, structures. I have a double shot cannon, giant monuments to Science (pi, atoms, etc), and a lava fall above my house. Bored+Stuff=Anything.

Also im quite a big minecraft fan, i do have my own personal server on a separate computer. but i i cant give out the IP on here for obvious reasons unless you are trusted.

I use to play, sadly most of my friend's left, and after building a giant golden ram there wasn't much else to do anymore.
