Self Bondage: Wrists

For a long time, I wanted to try out self bondage in a way where escape was near impossible without my release device. Now, having no money and lots of rope, I wanted a way to tie my wrists together so that I'd almost have to cut them loose with scissors rather than just wiggling free. I searched on a lot of sites to find a good way to do this and I kept being able to get loose. So, I decided to take a lot of techniques I did find for wrists and my own sailing knowledge of knots to try and come up with a way to tie my wrists together tightly and securely that I could not only do to myself, but I could also then practically speaking not untie simply in the least nor wiggle out of.

So, below I have compiled a list of methods I came up with for doing this.

1) Cinch Noose with wrist coil (1 rope)

So I found a site that describes a way to tie this with two separate ropes but I figured a way to condense this down to one that also allows a loop of rope that can be tied to yet another thing. Pulling on that loop only tightens the entire set of knots and makes escape even more difficult which seems ideal in strict self bondage.

You'll most likely need a rope at least 2 meters long to start with.

It is too hard to explain how to tie these in words so I'm linking you to albums on my profile that show step by step how to tie each knot.

First, you will measure the distance around a wrists smallest point 4 times over

Next, tie a square knot to form a loop.

Then, twist the loop into a double loop.

You will now tie a cinch noose on the other end of the rope.

Next, take the end of the noose that can tighten and create a double loop again.

This next part is hard to explain or show. Place the doubled loop from the cinch noose over the double loop on the other end of the rope. Place your wrists into the two slots now. Pull downward with a foot or something on the large hanging loop to tighten the cinch noose around the wrist coils.

Tighten this until you can't anymore. Your wrists should now be tied together in a form that you can neither wiggle out of nor untie without extreme difficulty.

(For any of these techniques to work it is essential that your knots are very tight. If you can manage to feel any slack at all in a knot then it is too loose. I generally tighten my knots until I couldn't even get a pencil into them without pushing very hard before I determine they are tight)

2) Slip knot with a Cinch Noose

This is my current favorite simply for how little rope it uses and that it leaves you with a long end of rope to do whatever you'd like with.

Start with tying a cinch noose. Read above for that.

Next, you will tie a slip knot within the cinch noose loop so that when you tighten one it tightens both together with so much friction it can't be wiggled out of or loosened easily.
