Don't you just hate it when bad things happen to good episodes? It happened all the way through previous series where a good episode was spoiled by its ending. Yet again it has happened. Brilliantly done to recruit his army but then what happened? Seriously? That was the revelation which is supposed to make us gasp until Autumn? Come on Moffet do pick a conclusion which is so isn't so obvious.

Did you, per chance, see spoilers? Because for most of the audience, this would've been extremely shocking and a damn surprise.

Out of interest, in spoiler tags, what would've surprised you? Ya can't please anyone and I, for one, am glad we got something. Something that works perfectly too.

I have no idea. But the reason someone is assigned to write Doctor Who should be because he can come up with something so improbable that works and shocks everyone.

I was bad and watched A Good Man Goes to War online before the actual US premier.
But I feel better now...Oh wait...NO MORE WHO UNTIL FALL.

There's a part of me that really wanted the second Doctor to stick around for all sorts of fun things...
I think that might be the same part of me that enjoys reading Doctor/Rory fanfiction.

Really want to see more of these two at some point. They were fun stuff :3

I love Rory. Alot. He's getting to be my favorite companion. Just oh so awesome.

Ask many of the viewers if they were surprised and shocked, and you'll find out that they were. You can't please everyone.

Also, that's not the reason people write Who. People are assigned to the show to tell good stories. It's not all about twists and shocks.

It wasn't the best suprise ever, but it was pretty unexpected and I, personally, wouldn't complain about it. There seems to be a few semi-Time-Lords and -Ladies about now... Jenny, the DoctorDonna and now River. Hopefully this will be significant at some point, but is that too much to hope?
Having read (some of) your review of Moffat, I agree with the Timey-Wimey thing. When David Tennant was discussing boiling an egg at thirty paces and exploding hens, it was cute and funny. Now, it seems to just be an excuse to patch together the storyline.

Only thing that caught my eye was the drop of two Doctors at one of Rivers birthday which could be the flesh coming back or something like that to take the Doctors place and die in America.
Or does this mean the little girl is River and is it her in the astronaught suit who kills him?

I think thats the case, and I think thats why River has been in prison for as long as we've known her. They seem to have been building this for a lot longer then many of the story lines.

But, its all timey wimey (Which I agree was much better explained earlier) and its all bound to change, because, insinuating that this is the last doctor hems in the possibilities for the show considerably.

In the first episode River says "Of Course not" when she tries to shoot the astronaut. This is a woman who can shoot a stetson of a mans head it seems unlikely she missed also when in the Oval office the Doctor looks towards florida maps and mentions that he's following "another lead".
Possible that these will be brought back up again.

You know the rule about looking at a woman's mother to see what she'll like like in years to come? Do you reckon it works in reverse too, ie Amy will look like River? Just a stupid thought I had.

Edit: I watched the whole series yesterday, and loved it, bloody confused though. I think that the Doctor dieing at the start has to be some sort of trick, the show's too much of a money spinner for them to throw it.
