What is the ultimate question of Life, the universe, and everything? ;D

Why is the grass green? (This is an easy one!)

As for actual truths...

What do you think of Joan of Arc?

Will you ever try to masturbate?

Do you ever get bored of life?

Have you ever had love for more than one person, at a time?

Is school bugging you?

What's your take on unisex toilets?

You told something about your religion, so...

1) what religion are you?
2) do you think you are an intelligent person?
3) how does 2) work with 1)?

No idea.

Why is the grass green? (This is an easy one!)
Chlorophyll and junk.

As for actual truths...

What do you think of Joan of Arc?
I don't think of her.

Will you ever try to masturbate?
I'm bored of these questions now.

Do you ever get bored of life?
Nope

Have you ever had love for more than one person, at a time?
Not the same kind of love.

Is school bugging you?
Nah, I like it.

What's your take on unisex toilets?
I dislike the idea and I wouldn't use them. Boys toilets, I've heard are usually much filthier.

1) what religion are you?
I'm Christian.

2) do you think you are an intelligent person?
I'm not a dumb person, I don't fail exams and such.

3) how does 2) work with 1)?
I don't believe they affect each other.

Well, it obviously depends on what you exactly believe, but generally, lets say that an intelligent person have nothing against intelligent reasoning, and don't see anything wrong with thinking about important things in his/her life (ie: faith).

And... TorD is also about uncofortable questions, yes? :>

Here is 10 min video, that contains 10 questions to christians. Feel free to answer them as my own.

Edit: If you think that truths in form of video are bad idea, just let me know and I'll write them down for you.

I never said the truths were uncomfortable. I just don't believe intelligence has anything to do with me being a part of my religion. I have my own reasons and it's something I believe in, it doesn't affect me being smart or not. I'm not going to watch the video at the moment and I can't make noise and my head is beginning to hurt.

I'll write them down for you then.

1. Why won't God heal amputees?
2. Why are there so many starving people in our world?
3. Why does God demand death of so many innocent people in the Bible?
4. Why does the Bible contain so much anti-scientific nonsense?
5. Why is God such a huge proponent of slavery in the Bible?
6. Why do bad things happen to good people?
7. Why didn't any of Jesus' miracles in the Bible leave behind any evidence?
8. How do we explain the fact, that Jesus has never appeared to you?
9. Why would Jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood?
10. Why do christians get divorced at the same rate as non-christians?
(by GilVideo)

Personally, I find questions 8 and 10 quite stupid, but rest are very interesting.

I'm not going to answer those.
For the reasons that I've asked them myself. I don't know why these things happen. And to be perfectly honest I can admit I'm not that informed. It's my families religion and therefore it's mine. Simple. I grew up in this religion and I'll always be in it because I believe in it. I have faith in that and I don't need to debate with other to prove that.

So my question to you is:

Would you believe in Tooth Fairy, if your family did?
Would you believe in Zeus, if your family did?
Do you think this is rational?
And. Do you think that your family cannot be wrong?

No, I don't think my family can be wrong. But I don't purely just have my religion because my family do, I was introduced into the religion because of that. And I'll stick with it. I believe there has to be other things in life and after it. Truths are meant to be interesting a fun, you are just attempting to debate via questions and it's boring.

Do you believe it because you want to believe it, or because your family wants you to believe it?

Do you think that if your family wasn't religious, you still would be?

If you are certain that your belief is true, why do you not want to debate it?

Also, I'd like to put forward the point that the bible doesn't explicitly forbid masturbation, as you have said before, but it does explicitly say many things that are illigal in our society - most of them involving stoning to death for minor things, like not being a virgin when you marry.

Ok, you answered my truth before I posted it, but I have another point for you (if you will permit me to temporarily hijack your thread) that was put forward by my biology teacher.

There are so many amazing things that happen in the here and now. The way that the leaves change colour before they fall. How the earth spins round at exactly the distance for life to exist. Why must so many people tarnish these things with our man-made concepts of God and the afterlife? When I ask 'Why am I here?', I can look at the amazing processes that brought about my birth, most of which I will never fully understand. The religious way of answering that question, though, is 'God gave you life'. It seems so much simpler, and less forfilling, to me.

Debate ends here.

I guess my truth for this post is: Do you like science?

I love how much some people keep bugging you with the same masturbation (and now religious) questions! :/

What sort of music do you listen to?
Do you think Courtney killed Kurt Cobain?
What is your most prized posession?
What's your most irrational fear?
Most rational fear?

Can we keep to truths that are loosley linked to a game of TorD. Religon isn't really one of them. If you want to debate that then make a thread in the lounge or make a blog.

I don't want to debate it because this is a truth thread, not a religious debate thread.
And for the Science question it's probably one of my least favourite subjects, I only like Biology.

What sort of music do you listen to?
I listen to everything and anything. If I hear a random song that I like and I don't know the name I'll try to memorise the chorus and then I type it into google

Do you think Courtney killed Kurt Cobain?
GASP, no. Maybe?

What is your most prized posession?
Maybe something I caught that was thrown off stage at a concert.

What's your most irrational fear?
Dogs? I don't think that' irrational though.

Most rational fear?
Small spaces, maybe I should switch this with dogs.

Thanks for giving some truths not related to what I get asked all the time

Lol, I do the same things with songs!

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
If you could go to the past, what time period would you want to see?
What are you looking forward to most right now?
