ahh,this probably might be me but this is one of those questions that shouldn't be asked. Everyone's opinion is different and while you might like Bob dylan,others might think he's shite.

As for me I don't have one,but several : Juliet simms is pretty good, Gabrielle Aplin is awesome too and then there's the numerous bands i listen to which i also like alot. Would be rather pointless naming them cause you won't know them anyway

I agree though that rap is kinda the worst type of music arround.. with a few exceptions. Eminem for example,his songs are quite meaningful And when rap's mixed with rock,it's just the best ^^

but I totally agree,Marylin Manson is one of the best. His music really does bring up a lot of emotion, it drags me into it! I think that's what should define a good songwriter , someone who's able to turn words and sentences into something so good that you can totaly feel the emotions put into the song. Kind of. lol.

Completey Agreed, Rap and Rock has a great sound to it, I know its kinda hard to find, but the Jay-Z Lincoln Park Collision Course album is a prime example.
