I am an Atheist who was born into a Baptist/Episcopalian family. I tried both sects, but the whole Christianity thing felt weird to me. For a while I remained a closet Atheist but when my grandmother became sick with cancer I returned to Christianity to pray to God for her. After I realized that my praying did absolutely nothing I decided once and for all that any religion with any type of deity was wrong and chose to become Atheistic once more only this time I am more open about to everyone except for my Father, Mother, and Grandparents, though I suspect that my Mom knows that I am an Atheist.

but really, that's not really it, I'm sort of an athiest. I know there's no god, but if someone could come up with proof that there was, I would quickly change my worldview.

Sometimes I say I'm a pastafarian if I'm with fun people, but that wasn't an option on the poll

I don't believe in organized religion... I find that too many people throughout history have killed or been killed in religious wars and battles over someone thinking they are right while the other people are wrong. I believe that if I live my life being the best person I can be and if there happens to be a heaven of sorts, I shouldn't be turned away because I didn't follow a certain belief. If I do get turned away, that's not the type of heaven I would want to live in anyways. Just my two cents though.

I'm sort-of christian. Most of Christianity makes sense, as long as you don't take a strict constructionist view, so I only have a few issues with core values as in the Bible.
On the other hand, I would really identify a lot more strongly as Christian if the Christian churches didn't do so much stuff I disagreed with, and stopped coming up with weird (in my opinion) interpretations of the Bible.

Oh and also i am Catholic. More or so Roman Catholic i guess. I am a pretty big religious person i guess. My family is a pretty big Catholic family so it's like the situation where "YOU ARE CATHOLIC. DEAL WITH IT." but i dont mind. im a devout Catholic and i truly love God. It's my choice. I can be great friends with you... even if you were say Pastafarian lol it is your belief and I am sooooo not gonna make you become Catholic lol. i'm not the type of gal to judge. and im easy to get along with! tehe well yeahh... im done rambling now haha!

I don't have a religious belief since I am an atheist. I am an atheist since I don't have enough evidence to support that a deity exists.

Some might say I am agnostic although agnostic is not as different as saying you are an atheist. Being agnostic means that you don't have enough evidence in something although it does not replace being an atheist.

Being an atheist is when you don't have knowledge that a deity exists or when someone doesn't believe in a deity at all. I don't have evidence that supports that a deity exists.

If anyone who believes in a deity wants to, they can try and prove the a god exists without using any holy book that might associate with the religion you are trying to prove is real.
