At least that's what I'm told. I don't watch either really.

Hugh Laurie is British.
I would argue that's a bit stereotypical, especially if you just hear that. But, instead, I'll say this... nothing wrong with nerds

Um- and to add- Doctor Who- also British- very essentially so in fact...

House is based on sherlock holmes- so gotta go with house (If only David Tennant were Doctor- would possibly tip scales

Yep, America couldn't handle Doctor Who very well. 1996, a very bad year for the show AmericaWorld has Torchwood but at least RTD's overseeing it.

I should get round to watching House though, just to see what it's like. Can you jump on anywhere or do I need to seek out the start, or what?

Speaketh not the American Doctor. But actually with Captain Jack Torchwood is slanted American already- I'm prepared for it to be nowhere near children of earth (which I was impressed mightily by) but could potentially be a new beginning...

Watching from start not necessary, but definitely start with the first three of so series- after they get the interns and such the show goes downhill- early episodes are much better

According to RTD, Torchwood will be like a new start but we keep Gwen and Jack and it'll still be Torchwood, just more "global". Should be epic.

And fair enough. Though I'll probably just catch a random House episode and see what happens

Children of earth was good. however the other series are just as good. And for the record i'll have people know us 'geeks' as were called are extremely fit.

Nothing wrong with it at all. They are usually the nice guys and good in bed. So I've been told.

And I agree with the other guy, early House is better but you don't have to watch them in order. The little bit of soap opera-ish drama is easy to follow even if you didn't see them in order.

The earliest were really the best I'm not a huge fan of the newer drama which is why I've been sticking to the re-runs more. The pilot episode is probably one of my favorites ^^
