Dayquil or Nyquil active ingredients vary depending where in the world they are sold. In the US the products no longer contains pseudoephedrine as it has been replaced with phenylephrine. However in other parts of the world, products may still contain pseudoephedrine, so check the list of active ingredients first. Pseudoephedrine may result in myocardial infarction even in healthy individuals and should be used with caution.
