*pushes Jim away* (Jim'll Fix It?) Oh, and your post there proves time zones will still play a part in it (ie, working out the actual time). Last edited by Slenderman - Doctor; 12-24-2009 at 04:15 PM. |

You'll still have to work out the time to know when to come on, so the clock is pointless.

how about a schedule. When you organise a game it sends everyone that is involved an email an hour before starting. This could be run off one timezone. So if the game is at 11 pm it would send everyone playing when it clock hits 10 pm.
This wouldnt be making a random time it would be run off one time zone.

I think this is an interesting idea, but for one reason, and I KNOW this reason will not sway any votes: I'm too lazy to look up the time zone of getDare, find the current time, compare to my local time, find the difference, and then memorize said difference. A lot of work. A getDare clock would be helpful.

My entire brainpower gone for a day gone
I think this is a good idea.
For comparing to time zones, you could download a program for your computer which lives in the bottom corner of your screen (like the icon for changing the volume) which when you click the icon it displays the getdare time in one of those balloon things. I suppose it'd find out your timezone from the computer and then work out to what the getdare time is. Edit: For those people who don't have their computers on all the time, I'm sure some clever person could make an iphone app to show the gD time, or a simple page on getDare designed for mobile phones which shows the time. My only other contribution to this would be a slightly different time, which for example there would be 240 sponges in a lump and 6 lumps in a day, which would totaly detatch it from comparing it to a clock, which even though would seem like a bad thing, I think it could prevent confusion. E.G a time would be 5:213. I know it sounds weird but it makes sence to me >.< If only I could put that much thought into my school coursework... Last edited by chzxx; 12-25-2009 at 03:03 PM. Although the computer could do it no problem. |

Also, if this is set into place with an unconvertable clock, the time alignment would become off. The primary values (hours and lumps) progress at different rates. Same for the secondary values (minutes and sponges). Yes they both come out to the same duration of time, but in a way that is different than anybody is used to. This raises problems.

And now it's turned into a complicated mess.

How about we just agree on GMT. Everyone's computer has a local time with GMT conversion. It would be easier.
For instance I am GMT + 5:30 so if anyone suggests 4 GMT then i know its 9:30 local time. Karan
