Last year I bought a simple black one piece made by Upopby on sale that has a "vintage" 1960's feel that I just love. It has a moderate leg cut with a simple horizontal neck cut and is by far the most comfortable suit I have ever owned with great support in the chest and does a good job with the stomach without looking too frumpy.

My favourite is nothing. If I can I have a somewhat sheer swim trunks, and if not I just get smaller regular black trunks. I tend to cut the liners out though.

Brief-cut speedos are the clear winner. When buying them, the deciding things are the sideseem (I love 1"), and whether they are dark enough to be used in public afterI remove the lining (yes, my swimsuits are basically all unlined).

I do have square-cuts too, but they also have to be pretty short, tight, unlined, and I prefer the brief-cuts a lot. I have never worn jammers, or even worse board shorts to water.

I spent so long being ashamed of my body that it was a great liberating relief when swimming shorts became the fashion. They hide more than other male swimwear... I'm used to them now, so that's what I usually wear in public. In private I like best to wear regular swimming trunks, but loose fitting - or nothing at all.

Regular shorts (I like a pocket or two) but fairly short for activities and public beaches. No big baggy bag shorts.

Speedo type briefs where not many people at all, more suitable to enjoy the sun and water. Can be edgy when there are people noticing or even pointing.

I normally wear swim shorts that are nearly knee length, not worn Speedo’s in many years but have been to nude beaches where I have been fully nude - best feeling for swimming in, although cold water makes the exit a less Daniel Craiglike experience

I usually wear bikinis most of them are tiny/micro I have a few "normal" bikinis and occasionally ill wear some sexy one pieces that are usually just as revealing as a bikini
