I like the stamp one too, although I'm not sure how small you could make it.

Please don't whack a stamp next to my name. In my opinion, it should be the size of the "report" button and shouldn't have words on it. Because there's no chance of reading anything. So I'd have an icon of some sort with a hover-over text saying "Under 18". Or something.

It will just get lost with all the other buttons and over 18s will still message and still say they didn't see it. Like I'm sure with messages as it is now they would've seen your age anyway, but message hoping you don't mind or will be willing to do what they say even if you are younger.

A little button will just be one more thing for u18s to point at and over 18s to say they didn't notice. It would be a colourful but pointless add on.

I sorta agree but if it's next to every post (under the avatar) and on the profile along with the age, you could rule out "I didn't see it" as an excuse. It'd no longer be an excuse, it'd be a lie.

As they read signatures and limits and ages are normally in that, then that is surely big enough. Those who want it may aswell just add a small u18 symbol in next to their limits. Saves time and effort for depp.

Hence why I suggested an icon instead. Plus, if you want to get picky like that... give everyone an icon. One with a small "-18" and one saying "18+".

Still.... Icons are ugly too.

Unless... say over 18s would get a BLACK outlined circle coloured in with a colour of their OWN choosing.

And... under 18s would get a WHITE outlined circle coloured in with a their own colour.

Or you can choose your own shape. Or something customizable yet unified. xD

That's not gunna work. You need one or two (at most) identifiable icons. Otherwise people will use the excuse, "I didn't know what it meant - everyone has different colours and shapes, I just thought it was something fancy". Or something xD

Which is why this whole idea wouldn't work in the first place.

No matter what icon you have it would either:

1. Be really ugly and unattractive.

2. Not be noticeable.

3. The excuse would still be there.

If someone wanted to PM you, they wouldn't always look at your profile first.

So 2. and 3. is still valid.

You can PM someone just from viewing their post. And guess what will be right next to the post? An icon

Another idea altogether: Under "junior/senior/distinguished member", have a tag saying "under 18". Then you've got no icon and it's directly below your username which you have to click to PM someone.
