It seems like a good idea! I think your thread needs to pick up speed first and then people will get excited.

For those interested, I'm going to try and find some time to work on the database tomorrow and sort the schema. I'm writing this in PHP and mysql. The site will be responsive. I'm not going to make an app (at least to begin with) as it won't be allowed in the app stores being an adult app.

I'm just interested, would you sign up and use such a site?

Would small banner ads put you off if they are used to support the site?

So today, I have found an hour to work on the site.

Today I sorted the database for the site (adding tables for edges etc.), added the page to change your daily edge settings and started the script on the server that generates the edges everyday and will eventually send them out

I have also decided on a few social features such as a feed to see what everyone is doing

So I did an hour on this yesterday and 2 hours today.

Haven't really got a lot to report really. It's mainly backend stuff. Making sure the counts are correct and what happens should the numbers fail to generate. Hopefully I'll something more exciting soon!

Hi everyone,

Really sorry, I didn't manage to get 2 hours done yesterday. Some stuff came up and I didn't have control over it. I'm going to count last week as passed as I felt that I put all the time I could into the site and Monday was a holiday. I did fully intend to do 2 hours yesterday. This thread isn't for me to fail for stuff outside of my control but more to stop me from getting lazy / spending time on other things.

If you feel like I have let you down, please PM me

I worked on the site for another hour today. Worked on boring stuff like how the infrastructure will work and scale if necessary

Ok, I've taken the decision to stop posting about this here. I'm posting technical stuff that I'm pretty sure the majority of you here aren't interested in.
