I hadn't decided quite yet on what I would have for breakfast. Likely oatmeal since I'm out of milk. Maybe some scrambled eggs on the side if I'm hungry enough.

Ok... I did a teaspoon of juice and combined it with the staring at the wall with my nose against it task. The first... 20 seconds or so was just fine. That's when the first urge to swallow hit. Yes, only 20 seconds in. I felt saliva gathering under my tongue. I kept my tongue as still as possible, the juice quickly lost its flavor as the liquid built up, saliva mixing with juice.

I probably made it about 4 minutes or so before I had to switch things up. I pushed all liquid to the very front of my mouth, the full amount of saliva thoroughly mixing with the juice now. And I hummed song after song to keep my mind occupied as I stared and fought against the urge to swallow.

I succeeded, but that swallow of spittle and juice was NOT satisfying. In fact it was a bit gross. I thought the task seemed interesting when I wrote it. I think I'll come to regret it by the time it's paid in full.
