I think Speedos are a big no-no to anyone except professional swimmers, who look pretty great in them at times. I really think that Speedos should be pulled from the stores and should be purchased from a specialized catalog. Most people should run from them like they are the plague.

I really like to wear Speedos. They are the most comfortable thing to swim or even lounge in. I think they are even more comfortable than being naked and I don't understand why most people are so opposed to them. I no longer wear Speedos in public because I am in not good enough shape to wear them. But I really do miss being able to do so.

I used to find speedos disturbing, especially seeing my otherwise conservative grandfather still wearing them after a swim. It was his house though, and I suspect that those more old than fat are just more used to simpler swimwear rather than the big colourful baggy shorts us younger folk are more used to, which look almost as silly on old guys anyway. Fat guys will wear speedos just to be provocative, there's no other reason.
As a fetish, I've quite enjoyed speedos on young guys in pics with guys in boardies, imagining his friends forced him to or something, and some pics of a group being inspected (CFNM)
This led me to buy a black speedo as a humiliating dare to myself. I'm not the fittest guy in the world but haven't quite become 'chubby' yet let alone fat. I got to the aquatic center just as a school group were leaving, and there were barely 2 dozen people left in the public pools, AND YET when I got down to the change rooms I had psyched myself out too much and ended up going back upstairs to buy some down-to-the-knee trunks, paying $45 for something that reveals as much bulge as a speedo, funny enough.

I don't find them particularly comfortable, but I don't mind if people wear them...in fact, there are some people I would encourage to wear them.
