How is the post count calculated?

I have noticed the post count sticks on a number and then jumps. Is this due to the way it's calculated. Is it calculated on a schedule?

Posts made in the lounge games, person above TorD, and camslave market place do not count toward your post count. If you post in those sections a lot it might explain why things are a bit funny for you.

I'm not completely sure, but what you post in the lounge/games, doesn't count.

I have another question, and figured since it is similar, I won't spam with a new thread, and rather just ask here. Sometimes, when I look into someone's previous posts, the number of posts shown varies significantly from the post count. Specifically, it's always lower. Why is that?

As mentioned, posts in the Person above section, lounge games, and camslave market place do not effect the post count. So if they post a lot in those sections it will not show in the number but will still appear in the posts they have made. If that makes sense.

You have misunderstood me. I find that their post count is, for example, 8, but there are only 4 posts shown, or something similar.

That will mean that they've made reports. The reports won't show up on the list that you see when looking at the posts of a person.

Know you've really confused me. Reports, as in reports of the dare being done? Don't tell me you go around and flag every single one of those. Or do you mean that they've been reporting posts, but why would that count in the post count?

I mean when a person reports a post for being in the wrong section or a profile for being underage (just examples of what could be reported). These reports are made into new threads in the moderator section for us to see so they are counted as posts for the users who make them.

Nono, they have reported something to us. That creates a thread in a section only the mods can see. So they have technically made the post, you cannot see it.
