I know many people who wear them not just casually but for high intensity workouts. Apparently they do a good job.

I've tried them before. They're pretty comfee for ssomeone who doesn't like shoes. But they're problematic for people with crooked toes, bent toes, long toes, wide toes, broken toes, wide feet, flat feet, or webbed toes. Because they wouldn't fit correctly or comfortably. I have completely normal feet, and they only work if they're the exact right size and only the more expensive brands fit correctly.

They could be the future if people get them custom fit to their feet, and they become more affordable.

My friend had those. They smell easily so make sure you know how to take care of them!

They look weird........ i haven't seen any of them out in public but i suppose i would like a pair for practical reason like snow and house wear and i would use them if they are good for the gym like people say as well

I own a pair and honestly you almost feel like you're barefoot. Really comfortable to wear, to clean them just get in the shower with them or throw them in the washing machine. However they provide very little thermal insulation.

So you are saying they are probably best used as indoor wear as an alternative to socks then ?

A lot of people wear them for outdoor activities, but that brings up the question about what if your feet swell in the slightest.

I personally would just want to wear them around normally that is given no rain.
The cold doesn't really affect your body from your feet as much. Most of it is from the head.

I like the concept that it makes you feel barefoot.

I ask also to any that know: Do you get similar results with toe socks? Do you like the comfort? Are they more adaptable?

Also does anyone have any problems against them fashionably? Do you care that others wear them? Omitting fitting issues, do you like them?

Has anyone ever tried wearing toe socks and five fingers at the same time?

While you may not lose a lot of heat through your feet, having ice toes is still miserable. I would know.

I would probably love a pair of those, I would walk around barefoot if it was socially acceptable.

@J.M.N. They can but if it's sunny or during summer they are great to use outdoor as well.

@omega10 with socks you don't get the rubber sole, so no real protection

@nelly & sweet it may look a bit odd but i don't think it looks that bad. I once saw someone with completly closed black one and i needed some time to realize he was wearing fivefingers...

@nelly Should we really care about social acceptability ?

Not to hate on anyone who wants/wears these shoes, but every time I see them in public, I get really uncomfortable. Immensely uncomfortable and grossed out and offended. It's really stupid, trust me, I know. Seeing people barefoot is absolutely no problem, never has been. But these shoes, they hit some nerve in me.

That seems weird considering you don't mind bare feet. If you minded bare feet I could see that.
Is it the splitting for each toe that gets you?

I think it would make triathlons easier

I really like them, but I do worry that whether or not my feet are slightly on the wide side or not for them to be comfortable.

It seems that mostly people like them with the exception of few. I just hope they continue to be popular for a while.
