Editing posts

Hey I don't know how it works here, but I'm unable to edit my main post of my thread after a while. This is very annoying and quite troublesome, since I need to update it. I'm talking about this thread of mine: http://www.getdare.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=157485

Is this normal, did you make this so on purpose?
If so could you please change it so you can always edit your posts or at least your main post of your own threads.

There are a couple threads that discuss this, one of which can be found here.

Threads such as yours work just fine if you post the updates within the thread and there isn't a dire need to have the first post updated repeatedly.

Thanks for the info, its just the easiest way to keep people updated.
I also need to convey certain info, like people who aren't allowed to ask for dares anymore, how many dares can still be asked for, etc.

Isn't it an idea to give people just the ability to always edit the main post of a thread. It cannot be deleted, if people post inappropriate things the thread will be closed or deleted (and I don't see people doing this so quickly when they made the thread themselves), also ir you really want to moderate it, it is still quiet a limited amount since it's only the first post of a thread.

In my opinion it also has huge benefits for thread owners, it makes it easy for them to convey all the information directly, keep updates and ad things like a FAQ.
