Mistaken sexuality?

Do people make incorrect assumptions about your sexuality often? I don't just mean on one off occasions but repeatedly.

People, for example, often assume I'm gay. I honestly have no idea why! I don't think I act in an especially camp way but apparently my sexuality is often a topic of much debate!

I would imagine this is more common for gay/lesbian members since society still sees heterosexuality as the default (wrongly in my opinion but that is a whole other discussion, and on a website specifically for niche sexualities I would imagine most would have similar opinions)

So what say you getdare denizens?

I have never had anyone make false assumptions about my sexuality. Well, people think I'm straight without knowing I'm actually bisexual, but I guess that's kinda hard to figure out. I think people make assumptions about someone being gay even if they're not, because of the way they act. People tend to have too much prejudices about how people are when they're gay or straight, which is why it might be easy to have hasty assumptions. You should get yourself a girlfriend, just to remove all the assumptions

People often think I'm straight or a Lesbian. Most people can't even get my gender right so it goes without saying that I've gotten to the point where I laugh, correct, and go on.

Growing up I never really fit into societies prefect world. I have natural eye-shadow and long black eyelashes that look very feminine. Kinda a high pitched voice, that carries. I have hard as dimond nails; which by the way are very hard to cut. When I was a kid, people would ask what can I get you Miss at resteraunts. Then they would be all sorry about calling me a Miss, that I would nomrally get a little something extra with my meal to make-up for it. Like a bowl of ice-cream or a brownie.

Hahaha, If I got a little extra something on my meals I wouldn't mind being called a girl at all

I guess I my sexuality gets mistaken more than not. I don't really know of anyone that thinks I'm gay, but I am. Or atleast as far as I know. I've been with guys but never with any girls. Had the options with girls but always turned them down.

A lot of people assume I am gay. Particularly in work situations where when I am with someone I will talk about 'my partner' as 'girlfriend' or 'boyfriend' sounds too immature for my liking. I am bisexual so it really isnt a big deal.

There is the more annoying category of people who seem to mistakenly assume that my sexuality changes depending on who I am seeing leading to:

"Your with a guy/girl so you must be gay/straight"
"No Im bisexual"
"but haven't you chosen now"
"*$@£$&^S<@MC'
