Besides, that's one of the great things with "Who". It helps if you've seen the past stories, but each one pretty much stands alone and you can just enjoy each story individually

There's always the boxsets. They'll go down in price after a few months. You think it's hard keeping up with the last four series, imagine me watching the previous 26 seasons and keeping note of what's happening and what's what xDD

Depends how you define true fan. It's possible to be a true fan of the new era of the show. It's not like you need to have seen the 1963-1989/1996 era. And yeah, I'm really looking forward to Matt Smith. I've seen plenty of photos and it all looks great!

Out of those, it's a hard choice. Both extremely good, and I think Eccleston should've done another series at least. Both awesome but I'll go for Tennant.

But if you throw the other eight Doctors into that equation, well, it gets messy.
