Manbearpig's thoughts
Well after the success of yesterday's blog post, I will be starting a new thing here that I hope to do this summer since I will have a lot more free time, a little thing called Manbearpig's thoughts. This is what the person behind getDare's MBP really thinks on site issues, political or religious issues, maybe sports or television, or something completely stupid. Maybe you won't always know what I am talking about. That is why God created Google. Look it up!!!!
Today's first issue is the Arizona Immigration Law. To be perfectly honest, I am not taking sides on the bill. On the plus side, it's aimed at decreasing illegal immigrants. That is nice. It also promotes racial profiling. That isn't nice. But for people to boycott the state is just stupid. For example, some of you might have heard about the girl's basketball team from Illinois boycotting a tournament because of the law (Click Here to learn more) Well that is stupid isn't it? From looking at pictures, majority of the team is Caucasian! Why would you stop a team that has worked hard to get to that particular tournament (they raised money, but now are getting sent to a lesser tournament in Florida) and you tell the students, well we don't agree so you can't go. Really, that isn't cool.
My second and last issue tonight will be about Lebron James. To start off I am a Chicago Bulls fan. I would not mind seeing Lebron James in a Bulls uniform next season. But before any team goes crazy and says crap like "Lebron is playing for (insert your favorite basketball team) next season!" hold on. Lebron is a smart business man. He values money, like most of us do. He also wants to win. Now so many possibilities could happen. He could resign with the Cavs for the most money available, he could go to a team that he could win at, or he could do a sign and trade to get the best of both worlds. So before you all get worked up with stupid, "Lebrons people were wearing (insert your favorite team here) jersey yesterday," lets wait until July 1st when he can actually start talking to teams about where he is going to go.
