Sorry your not a winner (this time)
There's one, and only one, reason cannabis isn't legalized. That is the simple fact that it would be impossible for the government to make money by taxing it, as if it were legal it would mean everyone could grow their own with ease, and as nobody would be buying it from licensed sellers, it wouldn't bring in any profit for the government.
This is despite the fact it's a known pain killer as well.
And this is coming from a guy who refuses to take any drugs unless 100% necessary (as in, I wont take even paracetemol unless I have no choice).Posted 01-19-2010 at 03:10 PM by pranadevil -

Weed is awesome.
People smoking weed are always chilled and happy.
Drunks are violent sometimes.
Meh, it should be legalized, it being illegal is probably only causing more problems.Posted 01-19-2010 at 12:47 PM by BettyBoop -

Damn you. I thought of the Enter Shikari song with the title!
And yeah, that's pretty hilarious. Even though i'm StraightEdge so i can't say much, Cannabis isn't as bad as Cocaine.
That's why "rastas" are chilled out.Posted 01-19-2010 at 11:33 AM by Night-1991 -

becaaause, it is the perfect social drug, it makes music and food better, it makes you feel happy and relaxed. I would much rather meet a stoned person than a drunk person. It does less less damage to you than smoking or alcohol. The main argument against it is that it leads to harder drugs, coke, x, lsd etc. However this is more likely that when people get weed from dealers they also have harder drugs on them and encourage you to buy them. If it was legalized they would take the weed away from the dealers so it removes the harder drugs effect... Also they would make a shit lot of money from taxing itPosted 01-19-2010 at 10:56 AM by Trystaan -

I've been brainwashed by my school to the point where I know no good points about it. So why should it be legalized?Posted 01-18-2010 at 04:54 PM by LilAngel -

Good god, what idiot would want to host a bunch of unruly teens lol. The original party goers might be managable, but it is the gate crashers that stuff it up. One is Europe recently had 500 turn up, and mayham enveloped.
Make sure you have bouncers, limit numbers, let the police know whats happening, and just have a good time. Getting drunk is fine, getting drunk and out of control is not.
Good luck with the exams.Posted 12-15-2009 at 02:19 PM by EnigmaNZ -

Newquaaay :) Help please.
I have a friend who owns a hotel there. Will PM you it if you want but bare in mind that he usually rents to older people and doesn't want to host a bunch of unruly teenagers.
Generally after exams, a lot of young people go there so..Posted 12-15-2009 at 01:58 PM by Pingu -
Exotic Animals.
Ehh I'm not too big on the reptilian pets. You should get an echidna! Any way back to the real choices. I definitly vote the chameleon! they are very neat to look at and watch change as well it's quite easy to determine their mood. Though their setup is moderatly expensive.Posted 11-18-2009 at 10:55 PM by milkdat -
Exotic Animals.
I've got friends who've had a turtle/tortoise (tbh, I can't tell the difference that well), and they don't seem to do as much as one would expect. Plus, they're kinda common nowadays. An iguana on the other hand... That's cool.Posted 11-17-2009 at 01:08 PM by CollaredBlondie -

Sports
Tristan, 15 hours of sport a week, no wonder you are tired and falling asleep. Your going to be needing maybe twice as much to eat as an adult in your house. Are you adhd. Thats an incredable ammount of time when you also work part time and go to school and are on here. How do you fit it all in. You say you get 8 hours of sleep as well. I wouldn't think it would be good sleep, your body would be so tired and pumped and your brain so wired I'm amazed you can sleep. You probably need 12 hours sleep as sleep is when our body repairs itself and grows. Yours needs a lot more repairing lol.Posted 10-21-2009 at 05:32 AM by EnigmaNZ -
meh meh life sucks.
Tristan, sorry to here that. A lot of companies are downsizing at this time due to the economic situation, damn greedy bankers, and last on first off is often the way it is done. You may not be the only one getting removed from the payroll. That doesn't help much I know. But if it is money and not your work thats the problem, then make sure you get a good referance from them that states you are punctural, have good work habits, are loyal and reliable, etc. Worth its wait in gold when your job hunting later. Do make sure they say they can be contacted for phone references. If they are letting you go as a cost cutting exercise they owe you this.
Depp, there are honest companies out there, better to jump ship and find such a company that appeciates your honesty than stay. I'd be tempted to report your previous company to the authorities. Do their customers a favour.Posted 10-21-2009 at 05:19 AM by EnigmaNZ -
i think i have a problem.
not sleeping
This can be caused by all manner of things Tristan.
Falling asleep in front of the TV is normal. Picture this, you are at school all day, lots of energy expended, mentally as well as physical. Yes thinking is hard work. You may not have had a very good breakfast or lunch. By the time you get home you are drained. You sit in front of the TV, you don't have to think, you have gone from being active to the first real rest you've had all day. The flickering images and sounds relax you, and you fall asleep. Quite common in adults after work.
What is your diet like. Seems you exercise a lot. Have a hectic day at school. Are going through puberty and the growth spurt. You need a surprisingly large ammount of energy to cope with all this. As well as a good cereal based breakfast and a healthy lunch and dinner, you need something for morning tea. afternoon tea, and supper to keep your energy levels up. Have fruit and snack bars in your bag, snack on one when your begining to dose.
Medical conditions like the begining of diabetes can cause tiredness. Having a viral or bacterial infection that perhaps is not bad enough for you to really notice but that takes additional energy to fight will hit you with tiredness. Take your temperature, is it higher than normal >37.5C. Are you sweating more. Headache, body aches, etc. Try some paracetamol, if you feel better something in going on in your body.
Your sleep may not be as good as it used to be. Are you more restless. Have nightmares. Wake in the moring feeling tired. Is there new noises in or outside the house. A new baby. Do you tend to think alot when in bed. Do you go to bed to sleep, or watch TV prior to going to sleep, etc. Do you snore loudly, or has anyone commented on your apparent lack of appearing to breath accassionally, sleep apnea, all these conditions will cause tireness durring the day.Posted 10-20-2009 at 09:44 PM by EnigmaNZ

i think i have a problem.
Having spoken to you, you do quite a lot of exercise, so could be catching up on you, or it could be you've changed your routine recently, or are eating less, or have less energy for some other reason.
It could also be a reaction to stress, or you might not be sleeping as much at night as you think you are.
I have bouts of insomnia for a week or so, could be the opposite? I wouldn't be too concerned, try going to bed slightly earlier, getting up slightly later, exercising slightly less or eating slightly more, you should go back to normal soon.Posted 10-19-2009 at 12:09 PM by Jacques -

I don't think you'd be sleeping if your body didn't need it, but, give it another couple of days and then maybe go and see a doctor?Posted 10-19-2009 at 11:57 AM by CollaredBlondie
