The Princess to Her Pedestal

Everyday I sit upon you,
the objective center of your desire.
You who hold me up to the clean air,
above the vast and scary world below.
I lavish in your attentions.
I purr at your very touch.
But also do I kneel and crawl,
at but one word from your lips.
For you I'll do most anything,
for I trust you to know me best.
And though I do most every bidding,
I hope you'll grant the occasional request:
Allow me to maintain my sense of independancy,
allow me my own work and friends,
let me dream what I wish to dream,
and allow me the occasional whim.
Because when it comes to the guts and soul,
I'll drop everything and run to you,
at your very beck and call.
This princess knows her pedestal,
holds her up in the warm, clean air,
above the vast, cruel, and scary world below.
But don't over step that distant boundary Sir,
because this princess knows how to fall.
My metaphoric thoughts of a sub's view of her (or his) master. Nothing more than a little scribble, may edit it later.
