Help me :s

So, i am creating this thread before i go to school this morning, in hopes of starting to turn my academic career around.

So recently i have been starting to fail a few of my classes, mainly due to a few missing assignments i cannot turn in late, the reason they are missing is because i have been slacking lately and just not doing assignments.

I know a few other people who went through the same phase at an earlier grade, and i just really hope this doesn't last long :s

So if you have any suggestions or anything to help me turn assignments in on time please help me :x

Coming on a internet forum will not help you get assignments done, using your head and just studying is what you need to do. trying staying of the internet as it's probs a distraction.

Try doing things the night/day you get them. Break bigger pieces up into chunks and tackle it a chunk at a time. Dedicate a specific time every day to doing homework - even on weekends.

And don't be afraid to ask your teachers for help if you need it. That's what they're there for.

I echo what Blondie said.

Plus, make it your priority. Your assignments being done well have to be more important to you than any fun things you have planned, otherwise, you'll always leave them till the last minute and either just barely skate by, or fail.

I went through this phase throughout middle school. #1 thing that saved me: If you have study halls, use them. Don't go make out in a bathroom, don't run to Krispy Kreme and get 2 boxes of donuts, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Just saying.

Also, it'll be a lot less stressful if you finish all your homework the second you get home. Once you start to unwind, you get out of the academic state of mind, and it becomes a little more difficult to complete. That being said, either ask your parents to pick you up a little bit later from school, or make your mind not let you play any games or chill out at all until you finish.

I love you and seriously don't want to see you fail. Talking on Skype late at night (or watching mlp) is not a way to succeed. I have gone through similar phases before and they really don't do any good to your grades. You really need to prioritise. Talking on Skype to amazing people like Chris may be fun but it is something that should only be done once you have finished your homework. I know the temptation of talking to people instead of doing school work and it seriously isn't worth it.
The first thing you should do before you go home is look at the homework you have and then assess how you will spend your time to get it done. It should be the thing that you do when you first get home. And even if you don't like the idea; talking on msn/Skype in class is a big no-no. Seriously, try to keep ALL of gD at home and definitially not at school.
Sorry for the lack of content/quality of this post, I am currently on my iPhone. If you need any help I am happy to talk you through it and help you prioritize (but ofcourse try doing homework before talking to me)

Edit: Okay Tommy, Now that I am on my computer I will talk a little more. Whenever you get homework list it down in a homework diary etc. Then when you get home look over this, see what is due when I find suitable times to finish this. You should really priortise and finish this homework before going onto Skype, MSN or this site.
I have been through similar phases and going onto getDare and talking to friends really doesn't help. Even if you dont want to you should probably withdraw your activities in getDare and MSN. If possible take a break to focus on your work and then slowly introduce a little of it back into your work. A little slacking of now is not worth it later in life. What would you prefer: A little talking and slacking now or Sexytime by the pool in an island resort in a tropical country?

I am here for you if you want it but please try to put your schoolwork first. Your good friends will understand this and be here for you when you have finished your work.

You probably should try thinking about the consequences of your actions, it might motivate you to change your future for the better. If you continue going downhill with your education where do you think that will take you? If you try harder and get your work done where will that?
If you find it hard to focus try having a timetable where you can have some free time and some time for work and in the time for studying you must only study. Managing your time well should help you to fit in time to do assignments and time to socialise/have fun.
