'Lose' Your USB Stick. (18+)

Quite a simple dare, really.

I've seen a lot of dares such as: "Leave a risky photo somewhere".

Now, whilst a traditionally good dare, I thought this might work slightly better...

You just need an old USB stick. Then simply put naked photos of yourself on to it. Or write a dirty document and save it. You get the idea. Then, once it's all saved and done, go and leave the USB somewhere in sight of passers-by.

Now, I think this may be better because people are probably more likely to pick up a USB stick rather than some old photo or an envelope, and people probably won't touch bottles so 'messages in a bottle' wouldn't be great. But a shiny USB stick that looks like it's been lost? I'm sure people would be quite happy to pick it up.

It also has extra risk because someone could potentially hand it in to a lost property place somewhere. Or, if they do nick it, they'll have a shock of their own when they plug it in at home. (For the really daring, leave a document on there containing your email address.)

Hmm I already have experience with something like that, but not on purpose.

Last week I went home from work as usual. During the 1,5 hour trip I tend to kill the time by playing with my IPhone.

When I got out of the train, I noticed that my phone wasn't in any of my pockets.. and I must have left or lost it in the train... which just took off

My phone wasn't turned in to lost&found

so that sucked..
Besides that I had 50+ nude pics on that phone of myself. Because I didnt password protect my phone I got a quite uncomfortable feeling. People could see my email address, name, phone contacts, and my photo's.

I'm glad no pictures showed up on uncomfortable places (yet..)

YEa I know the feeling. I just lost a 8gb SD card with nudes of my mate and others that I play with and yes there was personal information on it. It fell out of my SD slot sometime this week somewhere.

This actually happened to me once, luckily the usb was already broken so I didn't have to worry too much.

On the other hand it's quite exciting when a total stranger could see your pics, but then in a more controlled situation with less personal information.

I'm going to try this on monday in the train.
I will make some new pics this weekend, without face though. Guess I'm too chicken to be recognised every day in the same train. I will put these pics on a few cheap USB sticks, and drop them strategically when I leave the train.

On the stick will be some information with an email address.

I will let you know what happens and if I receive any emails lol

I sort of did this, I had an old USB stick that I used for storing a few porn pictures, a couple of me, a text doc with URLs to some porn and a word doc with a dirty story I was writing. I'm pretty sure my email address was in one document on there too.

I lost it once because I had a hole in my pocket, never got an email though, but it was kind of exciting to think someone could find it

I once found an envelope with photos of a naked woman in a trash can (the joys of having to wait 30 mins for a train on a rural station makes you go to such desparate measures for any kind of entertainment). There was a CD in the envelope too, but it was unreadable. Shame.

THat said, if you want to do the dare in a cheaper way, just burn 10 CDs with your pics/documents and distribute them over your city, or the next city down the road if you don't want to be 'caught'.

Maybe you can add a quizz or a little scavenger hunt to the CD/USB stick that would let people guess an email address where you can be reached (don't use your standard address, obviously), to tell you about your pictures, or request more if they find you pleasing to look at

If you're worried about privacy, then send various naughty pics/docs to a friend / member from a different country and let them burn the CDs and distribute them in their community. Then there's zero risk of anyone ringing your door bell the next day.

Ill definitely give this a try.. I'll set up an anonymous email, leave some photos maybe a document on the usb, with email..

Trick will be not to have it get caught in the rain... and to find some cheap/free usb!

Work kept me busy the last few days... but I found some time to complete the dare.

I made a serie of pics of myself (about 20 pics), a local store had a sale with cheap usb sticks.. so I bought myself 4 sticks. Then I created an anonymous email address. Pics went on the 4 sticks, I put some normal documents on the sticks as well, and made sure that the email address appears in a few of them.

Now it's time for the scary part.. The plan was to drop them in the train.
Because I travel to work by train (it's a 1,5 hour ride) I had plenty of time to find a good spot to 'lose' my USB stick.

I managed to drop all 4 usb sticks. My strategy was finding a spot in the train where 1 or more girls were sitting. When I reached destination, I left the stick on the seat where it might be found by one of the girls.

Now see what happens lol

Actually I've seen USB sticks for about the same price as CDs lately. picked up a 2GB for $1.49 in the bargain bin at the checkout stand at Office Depot.

And a USB stick can take a whole lot more abuse than a CD and still be readable, so it may be a better option.
