Are you a sadist, a masochist, or neither?

Generally speaking, a sadist is a person who receives pleasure by inflicting pain or humiliation upon another person, and a masochist is a person who enjoys receiving pain or likes to be controlled. However, the degrees of each differ. Even though the terms sadistic or masochistic may appear in SM, BDSM, or sexual practices, they are also psychological descriptions of people. Sadism and masochism have been considered as personality disorders and mental illnesses. Nevertheless, I know very little regarding these areas, please refer to other resources for solid explanations.

Personally, I am a masochist. I enjoy taking small amounts of pain. I first noticed it when I prefered taking shots than nasal sprays for vaccines and wanted to receive more of them. I am tolerant to being controlled and physical helplessness.

If you'd like, please tell which one you can identify with and your occasions.

I don't think I'm really either as far as my "lifestyle" goes.

As far as under the sheets (or sometimes on top of them)... well that's for the person joining me to know.

I honestly only enjoy making Subs feel good (even if that means they feel bad to get there).

Does anybody else feel that way?

They do after all do what we tell them to and of such they should at least get to do what they enjoy. Which happens to be painful and humiliating stuff in the case of my own sub.

Maybe we should refer to ourselves as being "social sadists"?
