Tips for anal newbie?

I'm playing with the idea of anal sex, why I think I should invest in either a dildo or a butt plug. However the market is gigantic, and stupid little me cant fingure it out. Do you guys have any tips or recommendation?
I'm looking both for recommendation in good (beginner) toys, but also knowledge and tips in general.

I'm not very experienced with anal toys, but I just got my first ones and I would recommend getting a plug set with different sizes so you can try out and explore what you like and can handle.

And remember to get some good lube and toy cleaner!

Remember smaller is better when learning. Lots of foreplay is required, even if you are horny and want to go in deep. Don't be afraid of lube, it will be your friend. Later when you are more experienced you can experiment with less lube, no lube, or other substances. Use water based lubes with silicone toys, and silicone lubes with non-silicone toys, or it can degrade the toy.

I personally started with a set of 3 sized plugs made of metal.

The best way to start though is just with your fingers.

I will say that I don't recommend an inflatable plug to begin with. I find that they plug itself can be rather large for a beginner, and although it is a fun feeling to have the pressure increase inside you, I think it is better to get a smaller plug to start with.

If you are going to get a dildo to try fucking, I would recommend sticking to something smaller to start, and pay attention to texture. I find that anything that is textured causes more friction and I am not a fan of the feeling, but to each their own.
