Dogs.

The differences between cats and dogs:

A dog says, "You give me food, you must be a god."

A cat says, "You serve me food, I must be a god."

A cat will hang around as long as there's food

A dog will die at your doorstep waiting for you to return to feed them.

Some cats have a crossover personality, but I'm still a dog person hands down.

Dog person, as long as the dog isn't a rat on a stick (Chihuahua, Mr Muggles, etc) or massive and hyper-aggressive (Rottweilers etc).

Can't stand cats, they're Lucifer's favourite servants out to play.

This is a hard one actually, I have -had actually- both a cat and a dog both at the same time. They both mean the world to me but, cats would just come out on top because of their quietness.

They both have Amazing and deep personalities, it's not just a cat thing. Both of them will let you know when they're angry at you in their own way but will still leap to your protection -the cat not so much-.

But on a playfulness side a dog would win out, that is until your cat decides to hit a bottle cap all over the house. I don't know my cat has managed to surprise me far more often then my dog, I guess that's why I'd prefer cats over dogs.

For most of my life, I have owned both a cat and a dog simultaneously. This question also is kind of based off exactly what type of cat or dog you have. We once had a dog that liked everyone in my family but for some reason hated me. Obviously to say, I didn't like her that much. And I've heard many stories about how cats are mean and scratch and hiss and everything and that's never really happened to me. Overall, even though I like them both I am more of a cat person. While they do have their disadvantages, you have to get them declawed, they try to escape the house when you open the door, if they get on your lap you're practically stuck because you don't want to move them, but overall I do like them more. Dogs in my opinion are more needy and they won't leave you alone for a single minute and overall they are a little more high-maintenance than cats. Every now and then if you're doing tasks or dares, I just don't want a dog hanging around me the whole time. Sure a cat comes up to you sometimes but usually they're sleeping somewhere in the house and are able to leave you alone.

It is not necessary to get cats declawed and the procedure can be painful and damaging to them.

Personally, I am more of a cat person but I love both. Cats are easier to care for, they don't get stinky, and I do like that they aren't generally as needy - although they can be!
