Ok I have one more question. Is it ok to use bit.ly in my sig as long as it goes to a getdare blog page?

I can't see why not but perhaps you'd be better off using the URL link at the top instead.

The logo looks like this in the editing bar:

That way you can have a hyperlink from text instead.
