[Idea] GetDare Messenger!

Heii!

I though about this quite a while, and i would probably do this if i could.. But what would you guys think about an Official GetDare Messenger?
Something where you can browse profiles of friends, search new friends or just talk with those you have... Pretty much a kinkier, better Facebook! :P It doesnt have to be just for chatting, but i realized that you can do so much more if you would just have to look at your phone... Maybe Doms and Slaves could use it too

Let me know what you guys think about this, and maybe we could make this happen

(as long as enough people like the idea)

Also, go ahead and post new ideas down here, i´ll try to include them with the credits to you if its usefull

And who pays for it, we already got the getDare chat which can do all that, just doesn't work that well on a phone.
Not enough people would use it to make it worth the effort of programming such a tool.

So... pretty much the forums? I mean all those things are possible already.

And what will be the difference from the others IM apps? It's possible to make an app to browse forum more conveniently, but without API, that would be a pain in the ass.

I really am in favour of an app that makes the forum and chat easier to use though.

A mobile version of the site does seem like it'd be popular, with all of the people who use their phones and tablets to get on here. I've only ever been here on my phone once, and found it pretty naff.

As for the social media thing idea - try Fetlife?

The messenger idea as a standalone could have promise. An app just allowing you to send PMs to other users, so long as they add you to their mailing list. This would stop the annoying Kik requests, as if someone gives you their messenger ID you know they want to chat to you. Also, by restricting who can mail who it removes a lot of the possibility for females to be spammed in the messenger. There should obviously be a function to block someone if you've added them, for bonus protection.
Only issue is that people may then start getting spammed for messenger IDs, so requesting the ID could be done in the same way friend requests are done, and therefore be just as easy to ignore.

I think that just changing the pm functionality for it to be instant messaging like facebook or so, so you don't have to keep pressing f5 waiting for the person to answer. Also the fact that you could keep a instant chat open while browsing the forum (just like FB again). And one last thing, I don't know if that is already possibl, and if it is I am sorry I just couldn't find it, put a place to find people by their username like a search toolbar.

getDare Forums (sub menu) > Search > Advanced Search > Search by User Name:
- Write the username of anyone you want to look up. If you don't know their exact names, then uncheck "Exact name". If the user posts a lot in the forum, you might want to select "Find Threads Started by User".
- One disadvantage to this method: you can only find the users when they posted at least once in the forums; either a thread or a post.

As msg are recieved only after the site is opened which is not good
