I've got mine done, and I had absolutely no problem with it. I think people do have the tendency to forget how much things hurt, and obviously on a site like this where you're surrounded by people who want things to hurt it may be difficult to get perspective on it.

From what happened to me the thing that hurt the most was the actual needle (wouldn't recommend a gun, although it's quicker, they are much harder to clean and more prone to infections etc) But my sister who is slightly thinner than me had a real problem with the clamp they used, because she was so skinny it really pulled.

I would agree with whoever wrote that nose piercings are more painful. BECAUSE THEY ARE.

But to stick to your actual questions, mine took about 4 weeks to heal, I cleaned it regularly, not manically, and it was absolutely fine. I think they look really nice on a variety of girls. Tbh, I didn't have much of a problem with it whilst it was healing. I covered it up when I was doing sports or whatever, but as long as your careful and don't have a ridiculously jangly stud, it's relatively close to your body, so not much damage can be done

I was wondering about this again the other day but I heard of someone who's piercing got infected and it was really painful.
But they look so nice.

I'm not really a fan of piercing and tattoos. I like it when people don't modify themselves.

I kind of agree with that too, I don't see a problem with normal bellybuttons.
I also don't like pain.

Dont have one myself, however think if they are done correctly sometimes it can look sweet. However when gone wrong it can look dreadful.
