Chapter 23

The beginning man stared her down, "Worthless describes you." He rubbed his arm.

Creatures are just for his use, that is what he was informed since childhood.

Why did he feel that his actions were wrong, then? Creatures did not have feelings. It was simple science.

"Your type annoys me." His voice was shaky. "Pretending to have feelings when we both know you do not."

Isabelle the man leave while maintaining her plank position.

She stared at the clock. It was midnight. She thought it had to be 5am at the earliest.

She closed her eyes, forbidding herself from falling asleep.

Sleeping in a plank position was not feasible for her. She decided not to take the risk of attempting an escape.

She watched the clock. Minutes were hours, hours were days, in her mind.

Her arms were becoming sore, she was drifting off, and she was struggling to stay in position.

Chapter 29

Trevor pushed Isabelle into the room she "infected".
