As a switch with submissive tendencies I'm usually on the receiving end. However, like some of the other guys on here I'm only into degrading women, or anybody for that matter, if they're ok wih it. Generally speaking, I am a very kind person and sure I may joke around with people but it's not meant to be mean. So yes I can degarde women and men but only if theyr'e into it and from that standpoint it's usually just verbal insults such as whore, cunt etc.

I enjoy degrading women in a controlled environment where both party's are agreeable on what is happening in the relationship and the female is happy to be degraded as part of her slavery.

Apart from that i have a lot of respect for females and in normal life i treat them with the respect i would give any good friend.

For me, the reasons behind my enjoyment vary depending on the recipient.

With some females, there is a back and forth exchange. I have her do "X", she retaliates by having me do "Y". The mystery of the looming retribution is as enjoyable as thinking of her doing what I've assigned.

As a female I have to say my perspective seems to be that men like to do it because they are the naturally dominant species mostly and it makes them feel superior and yet somehow more protective over the woman.

Personally I love nothing more than a man who is comfortable enough in who he is to be able to dominate and degrade me because it makes us feel sexy and loved and protected when we can let our barriers come down and truly admit what we like and enjoy it being done without any regrets and shame afterwards... unless of course we want to feel shame about what we like at the time
