If you had to choose, which would you rather have and why?

a beautiful but brainless person would probably end up screwing their beauty up due to their stupidity, whereas a smart person would know what to do to enhance their beauty (even if there was very little to enhance...) Besides, it's the intelligence that distinguished us from other animals...

Someone with Beauty may have a huge ego problem, y'know, like those "18 hot teen with cam" girls.

But someone with Brains might also have an ego, thinking they're better than everyone. But...Brains is more attractive.

I would like to point out before I say what I was going to, I have seen an equal, if not larger quantity of MALE ads suffering this "x hot teen with cam" scenario. And I know more men with an ego issue than women. Something generally to do with testosterone probably.

Personally, though beauty is a bonus I voted for brains. Its fair enough dating (or exploring greater commitment) a hottie, but if that hottie cannot create a single sentence let alone string them together how much substance is your relationship going to have. I would love someone with both, but if only one was available I would go for brains.

I would rather have the person I love have brains than beauty if I had to choose. If your partner was the most georgous person you had ever met, could you still live with them if you hated it whenever they opened their mouths? I would rather have someone I could talk to and discuss things with.

I'm not even going to answer the poll, because I'd rather not choose one extreme over the other. If she's beautiful, but completely stupid, the relationship wouldn't last whatsoever. I'd simply get tired of the stupidity. If she's smart, but really ugly... wouldn't last either. She could be smart but have a bad personality if anyone's ever thought of that one. Also, I could imagine we wouldn't have the greatest sex life.

So, I would choose a mixture of the both. She doesn't have to be the hottest girl in the world, but if she's she's hot to me, and pretty smart, then that's the match for me.

I would have to say a bit of both .What is the point in beauty if she is totally thick and cant hold a sensible conversation or think for themselves.My ideal woman has to have a brain, fairly goodlooking ,and a nice personality ,funloving ,adventurous ,etc.

People say this like it isn't possible to have both.
I'm going to be completely honest here, I would much prefer to be with someone who is intelligent and has a great personality who I can talk to, and I wouldn't care if they weren't beautiful, but if they were beyond hideous, it was be frightening to wake up to. Or what if they looked exactly like your Dad or something, disturbing.
But it's possible for people to be both, I know that much so I won't be choosing.
