Question about new threads

Hello all,

I am just wondering how much I should search if I have an idea for a new post in the lounge or any other area for that matter. I often see mod comments "similar thread already exists, closed". So I want to know how much I should check around before starting a thread.

And sorry if a similar thread already exists (Oh how that would be nice and embarrassing) or if there is an answer around anywhere.

I would go and type your topic in the search bar at the top. If something similar pops up then dont post it. If something doesnt pop up and your still unsure, ask a MOD and they will help. If nothing comes up and your happy to post it, then please do so. Hope this helps.

If you do a simple search and don't find anything feel free to post. Nobody will ban you for making a dupe thread unless you are doing it every day and no making a basic effort.

as long as it isn't a thread asking your birthday, where you are or something you see often then you should be good. You can also ask a mod if you like.
